Job Title: Analytical Chemist

Location: Chesterfield, MO 63017

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team and perform qualitative and quantitative analyses of organic compounds in agrochemical formulations. The successful candidate will work within a high-throughput analytical chemistry laboratory, conducting routine and non-routine benchtop analytical tasks using various techniques. This role requires the ability to work independently, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and develop innovative methods for analyzing chemical compositions.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses of active ingredients in liquid and solid formulations using HPLC/UPLC/LCMS/GC-based techniques.

- Support active ingredients analyses within R&D formulations and products as part of the Formulations Analytics Core Team.

- Respond promptly to collaborator inquiries, troubleshoot analytical/data issues, and provide timely reporting.

- Prepare complex sample matrices for analysis, optimize sample preparation methods, and develop new analytical techniques.

- Lead efforts in developing new analytical methods and enhancing existing ones.

- Write reports, interpret analytical results, and communicate findings to stakeholders across different departments.

Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry or a related field.

- Hands-on experience in preparing complex agrochemical sample matrices for analysis using HPLC/UPLC/LCMS/GC.

- Proficiency in maintaining and troubleshooting analytical instrumentation.

- Experience with sample preparation, method development, and sample cleanup techniques for chemical samples.

- Knowledge of robotic sample preparation is advantageous.

- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and teamwork spirit.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills for effective interaction with customers/stakeholders.

- Self-motivated with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

- BS in Analytical Chemistry or closely related field.
