Driving School InstructorAs a Driving Instructor on the AAA Driving School team, you will have an opportunity to make a difference in traffic safety in your local community by educating teens and adults on the fundamentals of safe driving. You will be responsible for teaching safe driving techniques to students of all ages and experience levels, provide a positive learning environment, be patient and have excellent knowledge of state driving laws and regulations. In this role, you will be provided with:Sign on bonus for external candidates: $1000 for non-licensed instructors or $2000 for licensed California Driving InstructorsPaid licensing and trainingCompany car with paid gas, maintenance, and insuranceTuition assistanceCompetitive salary with eligibility to participate in our incentive programWhat you'll do:Every day, you will conduct behind-the-wheel training to drivers of all ages and experience levels as prescribed by the AAA Driving School curriculum and training programYou will utilize our driving school software to record and maintain student progressYou will have responsibility for evaluating student's performance and provide additional support as neededYou will maintain knowledge of safe driving and defensive driving practices and maintain all records required by the state of CaliforniaThis position may require you to work in various locations within a (50) mile radius. Company car with paid gas, maintenance, and insurance will be provided.What You'll Need:To thrive in this role, you should bring experience in driving instruction, teaching, education, or the automotive industry You are confident in your ability to interact well with the public and teens specificallyYou have a strong motivation to improve safe driving practices of all driversYou are flexible enough to accommodate the availability of our students, which means working weekday schedules starting as late as 12 pm during the school year and teaching on at least one weekend day per weekYou can sit for prolonged periods of time in a vehicleYou can see and hear during all weather conditionsYou are able to bend, stoop, kneel, touch and reachYou can lift up to 25lbsMust Haves:High School Diploma or equivalentValid driver's license and an acceptable driving record3-5 years of driving experienceWill be required to obtain Driving School licensing by the state, including to take and pass a physical exam as required by the DMV Will be required to pass a background check and drug testThe starting pay range for this position is $20.50 - $22.55 per hour.
