As a Journey Level Service Plumber with PeopleReady Skilled Trades, you'll support Plumbing Contractors throughout San Diego and San Diego County. Learn more at . **Responsibilities:** + Assembling, installing, and connecting pipes, fittings, and fixtures for water, drainage, and gas systems + Fixing leaks, replacing damaged pipes, repairing or replacing faulty fixtures like faucets, toilets, and water heaters, and clearing clogged drains + Performing preventative maintenance on plumbing systems, such as inspecting and testing for leaks, ensuring proper function of fixtures, and maintaining backflow prevention devices + Diagnosing plumbing issues, identifying the cause of problems, and determining the best course of action for repairs + Communicating with clients, explaining issues, providing solutions, and maintaining positive customer relationships + Following all safety regulations and building codes related to plumbing work + Maintaining accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job. + Installing and repairing various types of pipes (copper, PVC, PEX, etc.). + Working with different plumbing fixtures (toilets, sinks, faucets, water heaters, etc.). + Utilizing tools like pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers, and sewer tapes. + Reading blueprints and technical drawings. + Responding to emergency calls. + Potentially working with heating and ventilation systems. **Qualifications:** + E-Verify: Eligible to work in the U.S. + Minimum 18 years of age. + Minimum 5 years of experience on commercial and/or residential construction sites required. + In-depth knowledge of building codes and laws in your area. + Perform tests and use the results to diagnose problems. + Have all of the tools of your trade on hand and be able to bring them to your job site. + California Journey Level License is a plus.
