LanceSoft is seeking a local contract Substance Use Counselor for a local contract job in Newport, Tennessee.

Substance Abuse Therapist / Licensed Therapist

Location: Tennessee (On-Site)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Overview

This role provides specialized counseling and therapy for individuals struggling with substance use disorders. The therapist will help patients navigate recovery , build coping mechanisms, and develop healthier lifestyles through evidence-based treatment methods.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual counseling sessions focused on recovery
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
• Provide crisis intervention and relapse prevention support
• Maintain accurate records and uphold ethical standards in practice

Qualifications

• Education: LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker) or LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist)
• Experience: Prior work with substance use and mental health disorders preferred
• Certifications: Must have or be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
• Skills: Strong communication, assessment, and problem-solving abilities
