Stissing House in Pine Plains is excited to be serving the greater Hudson Valley community and is looking for a Prep Cook to join its growing culinary team.

We are looking for a Prep Cook with comparable work experience who is eager to join a team of professionals who value teamwork, kindness, positivity, and a commitment to excellence.

This is a perfect position for someone who is looking to grow their skill set in a kitchen that makes everything from scratch, and would like to develop into a line cook.

Position Summary

Stissing House features an open kitchen where locally sourced ingredients are cooked over live fire in our wood-stoked oven and grill.

Skills

• Works well in a team oriented environment with good communication, supporting other team members as needed.

• Ability to work in a fast paced kitchen environment attention to detail.

• Prioritizes and plans work effectively and efficiently.

• Observes and implements all safety and security procedures.

• Follows kitchen protocols.

• Willingness to learn and improve from service to service.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends, holidays.
