St. Mary’s College of Maryland is accepting applications for a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor of Political Scienceposition for Academic Year 2025-2026 with the possibility of renewal. Responsibilities include teaching three courses per semester and fulfilling departmental service responsibilities. The ideal candidate will specialize in International Relations or Comparative Politics. Candidates with experience teaching international or comparative political economy, as well as undergraduate research methods are preferred. We particularly encourage applications from scholars whose work focuses on geographic regions outside Latin America, as we aim to complement our department’s existing strengths in Latin American studies with diverse global perspectives.
Qualifications include a doctorate in Political Science along with a strong desire for teaching undergraduates. The successful candidate must produce the necessary documentation to legally work in the U.S. upon hire. The salary range is $65,000-$75,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
